Kara Wilson. Certified Family Sleep and Wellbeing Specialist
I provide personalised support to parents and caregivers through one-on-one sessions in my convenient online sleep clinic.
With the flexibility of Zoom or phone consultations, you can access expert guidance from the comfort of your home — no need to travel or find a babysitter. My support is tailored to your unique child and family, without sleep training or generic advice. Instead, I take the time to uncover the root causes behind your child’s sleep challenges — from nervous system dysregulation to sensory needs, nutrient imbalances, and more — so we can gently and effectively support deeper, more restorative sleep.
If you have NDIS funding, all Nurtured Infancy offerings can be invoiced to NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed). Just select the ‘Request a NDIS invoice’ button when you book.
I'm excited to work with you and support your family’s sleep and wellbeing. Let's begin this transformative experience for a happier, more rested, and more connected family life. Book your consultation with me today.
Root cause sleep and wellbeing review
Discover what’s really disrupting your child’s sleep — and what to do about it.
AUD $397 | NDIS-funded options available
This comprehensive 75-minute consultation is designed to get to the heart of why sleep isn’t coming easily — without resorting to standard advice, behavioural methods, or one-size-fits-all routines.
Before we meet, you’ll complete a detailed intake form and sleep history so I can understand your child’s developmental background, temperament, nervous system needs, environment, rhythms, nutrition, and any red flags that may be interfering with rest.
During the session, we’ll gently explore your concerns, patterns you’ve noticed, and your child’s unique sensory, emotional, and physiological landscape — so we can connect the dots together.
You'll leave with:
A root-cause lens on your child’s sleep challenges
Personalised, neuro-affirming recommendations you can begin right away
A summary of the underlying factors I’ve identified
A clear plan for next steps, which may include nutrition support, sensory regulation strategies, rhythm shifts, and referrals if needed
The option to continue with ongoing support if desired
We’ll look beyond sleep behaviours to explore:
✔️ Nervous system regulation and sensory processing
✔️ Circadian rhythm and sleep pressure
✔️ Nutrition, food sensitivities, dietary deficiencies
✔️ Environment, co-regulation, and emotional safety
✔️ Signs of sleep-disordered breathing, anxiety, or other red flags
This session is ideal for families seeking a collaborative, holistic approach that honours the whole child, especially those who are neurodivergent, highly sensitive, anxious, or simply not thriving with mainstream sleep approaches.
Please note: This is not sleep training or behaviour management. It's a respectful, informed, and empowering process rooted in science, intuition, and connection.

Parent testimonial
‘Our daughter is a high energy, low sleep need child. She doesn’t sleep consistently and we went through all of the sleep regressions…
After 3 years of sleep deprivation, I reached out to Kara of Nurtured Infancy for help and guidance.
Kara has a kind and gentle approach that looks at the whole picture.
After establishing the sleep issues including late bedtime, night wakings, occasional night terrors, and early wake ups we discussed our daughters nap times, bedtime routine, diet and daily activities as well as her emotions. I didn’t realise that all of these factors affect sleep.
Kara listened and wasn’t judgemental about anything we had done or tried to help our daughter sleep.
She acknowledged that we were doing a great job which was a relief to hear. Kara encouraged us to continue on as we are and advised of other things we could implement to help our daughter sleep. After a couple of weeks we’ve noticed a great improvement, the night wakings are less frequent and her bedtime is now earlier. There have even been a couple of nights where she has slept through!
We will continue implementing the tools Kara has given us as I’m confident our daughter's sleep will continue to improve.
Kara is wonderful, she is very caring and will help you in any way she can. I highly recommend Nurtured Infancy’.

‘I think the best thing about your approach is that it gave me permission to trust myself and what I was doing for Maya as an individual little human that has her own needs for me to respond to.
As a first-time mum faced with so much advice and information that conflicts with my natural instinct to nurture my baby, I can’t tell you how beneficial this is.
